Sudah 53 tahun rupanya negara kita merdeka. Satu tempoh yang cukup lama. Kalau seorang manusia, mungkin sudah sampai ke fasa terakhir kehidupannya. Selama kita merdeka 53 tahun ini, mampukah kita berbangga dengan negara kita?
Masalah buang bayi, masalah bunuh-membunuh, masalah negara yang boleh bankrup, masalah gaji yang terlalu ciput, masalah harga barang yang semakin menaik dan bermacam-macam masalah lagi di negara kita ini. Mampukah kita untuk bersama-sama buat satu resolusi menanganinya bersempena dengan kemerdekaan yang ke 53 ini?
Apa-apa pun, selamat menyambut ulang tahun kemerdekaan yang ke 53. Semoga Malaysia terus maju dan terus makmur. I’m proud to be a Malaysia.
