Angkasawan Negara pertama Malaysia, Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor semalam telah mengumumkan bakal menerima sepasang kembar untuk kali kedua, tidak lama lagi.

Berita menggembirakan itu dikongsi oleh Dr Sheikh Muszaphar di laman instagram dan menurut beliau, Datin Dr. Halina kini sedang hamil tiga bulan.

Menulis panjang di ruangan kapsyen entri berkenaan, Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar meluahkan rasa gembira sehingga tidak dapat berkata-kata.

Pic – Expecting Twins again … Alhamdulillah – Syukur teramat . Dr Halina is now 13 weeks pregnant with twins . I’m just thrilled , speechless and over the moon … It’s like DejaVu all over again . We have always wanted a big family . But carrying twins during pregnancy is totally high risk as we have experienced that before . Double Nauseous Double Vomiting Double Bloating Double Craving Double Bleeding – which she did It was tough seeing Dr Halina undergoing through her 1st Trimester and still working as frontliners treating Covid patients and she truly deserve my utmost respect . The only thing I could do is to gain weight with her which is part of the deal – Haha Salam Everyone Love As Always Just sharing the good news PS – Do be strong my love . Just hang in there and leave the workload of the kids to me . ?

“Saya gembira, tidak dapat berkata-kata. Ianya seperti dejavu sekali lagi!”

Dalam kegembiraan menerima berita tersebut, Dr. Sheikh sempat memberitahu risiko mengandung anak kembar untuk kesekian kalinya.

“Kami selalu mahukan keluarga besar. Tetapi mengandung anak kembar mempunyai risiko yang tinggi seperti yang pernah kami alami sebelum ini. Mual berganda, muntah berganda, kembung berganda, teringin berganda. Pendarahan juga berganda seperti yang dialami oleh isteri sebelum ini,”

 Beliau juga menzahirkan penghargaan kepada Dr. Halina kerana walaupun berbadan dua, isterinya itu masih bekerja sebagai petugas barisan hadapan (frontliners) yang merawat pesakit COVID-19.

Pic – Dr Halina exposed to Covid … Beloved wife Dr Halina has been screening patients for Covid-19 since day 1 . Last night she gave us a scare when she just got back from work with symptoms of sore throat and cough … After taking the swab test she was self quarantined at home in the room while awaiting for the results . It saddens me to see that she was not allowed to be even close to the children – can’t imagine how she felt the entire 8 hour ordeal . I remembered her calling me from the hospital not knowing where to be as she does not want to infect me and the kids . Even at that stage she was more concerned of others . And Alhamdulillah – the results were negative . Inspite of everything that just happened she still determined to continue working today . That’s Dr Halina – not because she’s my wife BUT because she’s a doctor who has been trained to help others … to sacrifice oneself for the sake of the sick …what matters is saving lives no matter how great the risk . To all doctors , nurses and medical related people out there … be strong & brave . You will always have our prayers at all times . Peminat dan pengikut Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar menghujani ruangan komen entri berkenaan dengan ucapan tahniah dan ada yang sempat bertanyakan tips untuk mendapatkan cahaya mata kembar.

Pasangan ini telah mendirikan rumah tangga pada 10 Oktober 2010 dan hasil perkahwinan itu mereka kini dikurniakan empat cahaya mata iaitu Sophea Isabella, Sophea Natasha dan kembar lelaki iaitu Sheikh Adam dan Sheikh Noah.
